This year 2024, Empowering Mothers present you with a Keynote speaker, worship leader and seasoned professionals in their area of influence. They, alongside Detola, will engage you in various ways to practically “establish God’s Kingdom on Earth” through talks and panelist sessions.

Meet Detola, the powerhouse behind Empowering Mothers. As a Women Leadership and Productivity coach, she’s on a mission to empower Kingdom women, especially mothers, to lead and live a life of significance.

Detola is renowned for her ability to ACTIVATE Kingdom Women, inspiring them to live and lead with purpose. She is a multifaceted and multi-entrepreneur who is also a Certified Maxwell Leadership Coach, Speaker & Trainer, Certified Maxwell DISC Behavioural Trainer and a Certified Grief & Loss Specialist.

On top of that, she’s a gifted writer, hosting the Birth Your Dreams with Detola show on YouTube and co-hosting the popular When Life Stops Podcast. Not to mention, she’s also an accomplished author with four inspiring books and four journals to her name.

As CEO of Super Working Mum, a global organisation, Detola empowers overwhelmed Kingdom Mothers to maximise their time so that they can manifest their God-given dreams. Additionally, she’s the compassionate founder of My Little Warrior Child foundation, providing support to bereaved parents.

Detola’s passion for facilitating retreats is undeniable, with two annual events: a powerful prayer retreat and a transformative goal-setting retreat that empowers women with strategic planning. Her wisdom has been featured on various media platforms, including UCB and Turning Point International.

With Empowering Mothers Ministry, Detola has embraced her divine mandate to bring back Esthers to their King.

Beyond her incredible work, Detola finds joy in reading, writing, traveling, and cherishing quality time with her loved ones. She is a loving wife and a proud mother of four, including one precious child who resides in heaven.

 

Jenny Grout

Guest Speaker

Jenny Grout is a person of many nations, she was born in Tajikistan, studied in Russia, resided in the USA for over 23 years and as of a year ago now lives in England with her husband Joe and their 3 children -Nolan, Emma, and Daniel. They are now part of a team that is launching a new church in Sevenoaks.

While living in America, Jenny served as an elder of Northlands Church along with her husband Joe.  

She led the THRIVE ministry that focused on empowering women in the season of motherhood as well as igniting a desire in parents for intentional kingdom-focused parenting. She also co-led the women’s ministry EmpowHer, empowering women of all ages to discover and walk in their God-given identity.

Jenny is passionate about helping people find healing for spiritually “orphaned” hearts and helping them discover their true identities by connecting them with the finished works of Jesus’ Cross.

Jenny and her husband Joe are called to the nations to build, strengthen churches, and equip local leaders.

Sarah Téibo

Worship Leader. Songwriter. Author.

British-born of Nigerian descent, Sarah who is no stranger to writing and singing worship songs started leading worship in her early teens and currently serves as a worship leader at Kings Church, London.

Multiple award winning singer/ songwriter, Sarah has been pushing the boundaries since her entry into the UK Gospel scene late 2015 with her debut single ‘Steal my Joy’ followed by her debut album ‘Walk with Me’ which earned her a MOBO nomination and multiple awards including the prestigious Premier Gospel Awards’ ‘Album of the Year’. Her sophomore album ‘Keep Walking’ also saw her top the Official Charts, making her the first female independent Gospel artist to do so. Sarah made headlines in the run-up to the release of her third studio album, when the single ‘Victory’ – from the new project – peaked at Number 1 in the UK Christian Chart and ‘Secure’ another single from the album made it into the Billboard Gospel Indicator Top 30 chart. 

Currently one of the UK’s top female gospel music artists and worship leaders, Sarah has travelled extensively within the UK, Europe, Africa and Australia leading worship and working with other singers including  Grammy Award winning Gospel singer Fred Hammond who featured on her second album ‘Keep Walking.

Sarah is married with two daughters and in addition to leading worship at Kings Church, she serves in the Children’s Work. 

Sarah will be leading us in worship and sharing her miraculous testimony of healing during EMC 2024.

Peju Abuchi

Poetic Speaker

Peju “The Spark” Abuchi is a poetic speaker, therapeutic wordsmith, women’s wellbeing facilitator and a gifted communicator who believes in the power of curiosity to connect humans and communities. By design, a poet is a healer, thus her passion is centred on bringing hope and healing to a hurting world, through her words. 

An Educator of 20+ years, she draws on her MA level qualification in International Studies and Diplomacy to speak to audiences across the globe. She has been featured in The Voice Newspaper, Women in Leadership Publication, Premier Woman Alive, The South African Times and London Institute for Contemporary Christianity.

Peju’s vision is to influence how people live, love and lead by empowering them with the words to show up, speak up and spark things up – hence her nickname, “The Spark”. She is the author of the newly published book, A Poetic Odyssey of Proclamations.

Ogugua Ajayi

Scriptwriter and Movie Producer

Ogugua is a Christian, a wife, mother, author, scriptwriter and a movie producer who finds joy in the power of story – the power to captivate, entertain, influence, and educate. 

Ogugua’s journey to writing has not been a linear one. She graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, with a Bachelor of Laws Degree, and was called to the bar in 2001. She then entered the education sector and ran a Preschool for almost a decade before she moved to South Africa. A spontaneous decision to enter a writing competition where she was longlisted changed the trajectory of her life and confirmed for her where her heart was leading, to tell stories. She went on and graduated with a Master’s Degree (with distinction) in Creative Writing from the University of Kent, United Kingdom.

She is the CEO of Love Legacy Media a production company with the vision to push the Christian agenda directly or indirectly through all forms of media.  In this vein she has authored two novellas ‘Blessings in the Dark’ and ‘Full Circle’ Her first full length novel will be out early next year. Her short stories are available for free on her website. She wrote and produced her debut movie, released on the YouTube platform, titled ‘Just the two of us.’ Her second movie will be out this year.

Ogugua loves how stories can be used to teach life lessons and  communicate truths just like Jesus did with parables. She is passionate about sharing stories that tell of God’s amazing love, His willingness to forgive and His power to change lives.  

Bisi Gbadebo

Trauma, Mindset, and Transformational Life Coach

Bisi is a Trauma, Mindset, and Transformational Life Coach dedicated to empowering women. She specialises in helping women build confidence and self-worth, heal from trauma and abuse, and rediscover themselves so that they can fulfil their God-given purpose and maximise their full potential.

Through coaching and mentoring, Bisi assists individuals in gaining clarity and shifting limiting beliefs that hold them back from living a fulfilling, purposeful, and connected life so that they can achieve their full potential and be the best version of themselves.

A Nurse by profession, Bisi is also an Author, Educator (providing 11-plus tuition), and the Convener of Praying Parents.

Her books, “Get Wisdom Get Understanding for Tweens and Teens” and “Blessing Your Children,” further contribute to her mission of uplifting and inspiring families.

 

Abiola Madubata

Teacher, Rising Star Nominee by Black Talents Awards

Abiola knows she is loved by God and is living in the security of that love. She is a wife and mother of three energetic and very brilliant children. In recent years, Abiola has started to fully live in the knowledge that she is created for purpose and on purpose. Abiola loves exploring and going on adventures.

Abiola is passionate about children excelling in every area of their lives. She has retrained to be a primary school teacher where she has the opportunity to nurture children until they achieve their personal best. This passion has led to her enabling and supporting parents in different areas of their children’s journey. Abiola is currently living out God’s call to minister to mothers and their daughters through an annual retreat tagged “Mother and Daughter Retreat.” 

Abiola has been tasked with the responsibility of embedding anti-racist culture within her School Trust. In recognition of her works among the Black, Ethnic Minority, Abiola was nominated in 2024 as a Rising Star by Black Talents Award, a humbling nomination. 

Abiola continues to take pleasure in knowing that she is walking in her God-ordained path.

LaShelle Marlow

 Neuro Linguistic Programming Master Coach

LaShelle grew up in the sunshine state of California before immigrating to the United Kingdom for University studies.  Having completed an MBA in Scotland, LaShelle has had a successful 10-year career within the NHS as a programme manager across North Central East London.

Life can throw so many curve balls and for LaShelle these involved overcoming historical trauma, supporting her autistic daughter, navigating the reality of single parenthood and having to pivot professionally to create a life of flexibility and freedom to meet the emerging needs of her family.

After years of building, healing and pivoting whilst supporting others, LaShelle formalised her passion for helping and serving others by qualifying as a full-time foster parent and setting up her own coaching practice during the height of lockdown. LaShelle qualified as an accredited Neuro Linguistic Programming Master coach and combined two areas of passion.

LaShelle works with fellow foster parents to build resilience and joy as they support the needs of the beautiful children/young people in their care, and mums who are neuro spicy who are raising neuro-diverse children and young people move from frustrated to fruitful to fall back in love with their parenting journey.  

Eniye Oshunbiyi

 Self Awareness & Leadership Coach

Eniye Oshunbiyi is a woman in love with God, and with her husband Toye, to whom she has been happily married for 21 years. She is mummy to a daughter (15) and a son (11) and wears many hats.

She is a serial career changer bravely shifting from Law to full-time ministry, then to Project Management and on to currently working for herself as a leadership coach specialising in the areas of emotional intelligence and self-awareness for leaders. She also works alongside her husband in business.

Eniye is passionate about discipleship and helping women live authentically in the fullness of their relationship with Christ.

She teaches and leads women’s discipleship groups and is a Christian mentor, speaker, worship team member, and a Sunday school teacher currently teaching preteens in her local church in North London. She and her husband also disciple and mentor married couples and run marriage workshops teaching biblical principles to help marriages flourish.

Eniye enjoys traveling, music, dancing, cooking, and spending quality time with her family and friends who mean the world to her.
